Dr. Dixon Holland is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, and aspired to become a veterinarian since a very young age. Having family pets throughout his childhood and spending time on his grandparents farm motivated his desire to help animals, and after that he began to shape his school and career path to prepare himself for veterinary school. He received his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in 2016 in Animal Sciences, and was lucky enough to head back to Blacksburg for four more years and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2021.
During his clinical year of veterinary school, Dr. Holland decided to explore his options on where to practice after graduation. He found himself exploring areas in Colorado and fell for Colorado Springs instantly. He joined the East Springs Animal Hospital team in January 2021 and is very excited to start working with clients! His primary interests are in canine reproduction and small exotic mammals medicine, and he prides himself in client communication and building lasting relationships with his patients and their families. In his free time, Dr. Holland enjoys golfing, swimming, skiing and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturdays. He and his girlfriend, Emily, are extremely excited to engage more in outdoor activities in beautiful Colorado and look forward to adopting their own pup (or two) in the near future!
