Managing Veterinarian

Bret Morgan

Dr. Bret Morgan was born in Iowa but grew up in a small farming community in southwest Missouri. He helped his dad raise quarter horses, tamed barn cats, and always had a dog at his side. His whole family was active in sports and Bret played football, basketball, track, and baseball. During his undergraduate studies at Missouri State University, Bret decided to pursue his love for animals and become a veterinarian. He focused his studies and obtain the required credit for veterinary school and was accepted in two years. He attended the University of Missouri Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, and graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May of 1995. Also, in 1995, Bret married his classmate in veterinary school, Dr. Michelle Morgan. After school, they spent one year in Michigan before moving to the Ft. Collins/Greeley area. Here Dr. Morgan enjoyed his time working with large and small animals and developed many long-term friendships.

In June of 2000, Dr. Morgan and his family moved to Colorado Springs. It was here that Dr. Morgan decided to focus his continued studies on small animals and started working at East Springs Animal Hospital. Dr. Morgan had worked hard to broaden his knowledge in small animal medicine and surgery to provide the best possible care for his patients. These areas of interest include orthopedic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, ultrasound for diagnosis and preventative care screen, reproductive services, and dentistry. Dr. Morgan and his wife thrive in the outdoor lifestyle that Colorado has to offer. They have a busy home life keeping up with two young daughters and multiple pets. They enjoy their family time together and spend their free time hiking, skiing, trail riding, and visiting family and friends.
