I am originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas and have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. I grew up with everything from horses to guinea pigs which really helped shape my desire to make my love and passion for animals into a career. I received my bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 2018 in Zoology. As part of the Early Admissions Program there, I was immediately granted admittance into Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine where I spent 4 more years earning my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree and graduated in May 2022.
I have known I’ve wanted to move to Colorado Springs for years after visiting on various occasions throughout my childhood and young adulthood due to family living in the area. During my clinical year of veterinary school, I was on the job hunt and was so thankful to have found East Springs Animal Hospital where I felt so at home and will be officially joining the team in July 2022. My primary interests include small animal surgery, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. I am eager to begin working with this team and meeting all of the new furry faces and pet parents that walk through the door.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, snowboarding, and really anything outdoors. My boyfriend, Dr. Tanner Leon, our labradoodle, Oakley, and I are eager to begin exploring all that Colorado has to offer!
